No, they are not chirping about the sunrise today. They sound different. They don't sound as cheerful as they used to be. In fact, there is even a tone of gloominess and sadness in their chirps.
A messenger bird has arrived from the Far East. They now know about the disasters that happened in Asia over the past weeks. No, it is neither the shortage of rice, nor the V.K. Lingam video tape scandal. They, too, now feel the sorrow of the tens of thousands of people whose lives have been ravaged by Cylone Nargis and, most recently, the earthquake in China.
Not only have these victims lost many of their loved ones, they still live their every day in fear and sorrow. They are deprived of a safe shelter, food nutritions and, most importantly, clean water. They are trying hard to believe that there is a better tomorrow.
I think the birds will sound slightly relieved when the sun sets from their sight, for they know, a sunset here will bring a sunrise and a brighter brand new day to the victims.
Friends, if you wish to leave a comment, please make it a wish or a prayer for the victims. Let us hope that they will stay strong and move on amidst the chaos they do not deserve.

I know how it feels for being so helpless looking at them suffering. Now we can do something for them. This link might give you a hint on what you should do –> http://info.msn.com.cn/caihong/rainbow.html
The summary of the site is like this, pardon me I’m bad in doing translation. It urges us to add (R) at the beginning of our MSN Messenger status, for every (R) that is put on will contribute 10 cents to the victims, this money will be donated by MSN China to them. 10 cents may look very little, but what if everyone is doing that? I’m sure it can be a big lump sum eventually. By the way (R) is a rainbow icon on MSN Messenger, hopefully the victims can see rainbow that reflects to hope!
If you have any doubt, you can always refer to my MSN Messenger status. No, it is not about gadgets anymore. :P Well, that’s the least thing we can do when we are thousand miles away from them. :(
My deepest condolences to the deceased. :( To other victims, be strong!
