Two days from now, I will be embarking upon a new phase of my life - marriage. Just kidding :p
Well, no one likes changes. But two and a half years ago, a 20-hour flight that I boarded brought me to the only country on earth where a lost navigator could be considered as a hero. Christopher Columbus, despite his failure to find some Indian spices for his country, has been a hero to Americans for more than 400 years.
That was an aside. But I think Mr. Columbus would empathize with me for the cultural shock and changes I felt.
More changes await me. Two days from now, I will be flying from the Southwest end of this country to the Northeast end. More precisely, I will be having an internship in Fairfax, Virginia for three months. Virginia? Don't ask me, I have never been to the East coast. But click here to see where I will be flying from and flying to.
I will be landing in Washington, D.C., the capital, and possibly the safest place, of this country. After spending a night in D.C., I will then take a cab or some sort of public transportation to Fairfax, which is about 30 minutes drive away from D.C. What's next? Next, that's my home for three months.
Aha, new place, new people, new job, new everything, again. Sigh... Can't wait though, it is gonna be interesting. But, what the hell, how am I supposed to go to work with my insomnia?
